Lý Club provides fine dining within a meticulously designed French Colonial Villa, inspired by the Lý dynasty.
Lý Club, a fine dining venue in the heart of Saigon, bears the namesake of the 11 Lý Dynasty, renowned for oving the capital th Century of Vietnam from Ninh Binh province to Hanoi; the birthplace of the first Lý Club. Lý Club, located in a magnificent French colonial villa, is virtually hidden from the street. The property opens up into a spectacular and expansive courtyard, with a cerulean pool, a selection of old, tropical trees, wide elliptical arches, nouveau chic furnishings, ornate lighting, and unique fine art.
The historic Parisian villa once belonged to a wealthy French doctor during the colonial era, and was procured by Lý Club in 2009. Two years of planning and design went into the impressive renovation, during which the owner made numerous trips to Europe to harvest inspiration for the relics within the property; all of which are thoughtfully arranged within this white-walled dwelling.
Lý Club Saigon reflects the difference from Hanoi in its contemporary design; palatable to an international audience. Dining can be enjoyed either in the atmospheric courtyard, amongst the scented Frangipani trees, or inside, entertained by the live pianist.
The menu is split into two sections, western and Vietnamese, with a focus on quality, taste and presentation. The classic western menu was composed by the revered Dessi De Vries; the former chef to the Netherlands Royal Family. Each dish has been inspired by the stories from the Lý Dynasty, and signature dishes include; Crab Soup in Steamed Pumpkin, Spring Rolls in Mango Leaves served in Shot Glasses,Smoking Crayfish Salad, Lý Club Snowfish, and make it yourself Seabass Salad. For dessert, the signature Chocolate Ball, with Star Anis in Ice Cream, includes 24 Carat Gold Leaf on Top, Hot Chocolate poured on top, including Popping Candy and Sparkles.
