Ho Chi Minh City, 22nd April 2022: IHG Hotels & Resorts debuts its first resort under its upper luxury brand, Regent Hotels & Resorts, in South East Asia with the opening of Regent Phu Quoc. Hidden beneath the shade of swaying palm trees, 176 suites and 126 villas echo traditional Vietnamese vernacular and contemporarily designed interiors with a soothing colour palette. Expansive windows and verandas invite natural light in, transforming suites and villas into light, airy private havens complemented by views of landscaped gardens or panoramic ocean scenes.
Spectacular and large-scale installations heighten the sense of extravagance and add a layer of uniqueness to the guest experience. Guests will be welcomed by “Charming Deeps”, a bespoke bohemian hand-blown crystal by Lasvit, creating an awe-inspiring moment upon entering the resort lobby. Inspired by Phu Quoc, the piece recreates a composition of the coral reefs that surround the island. Executive Chef Bruno Anon will delight guests through innovation, immersion and reinvention as he seeks to uplift the gastronomy experience.
Rice Market offers an unexpected voyage in taste, inviting guests to discover the locally-inspired and reinvented classic dishes of Vietnamese Chinese cuisine expertly crafted in bustling live kitchens. Ocean Club, the only luxury beach club in Phu Quoc, features an assortment of local and Mediterranean cuisine, rum-inspired cocktails, a sophisticated wine selection and a live in-house DJ.
