The "Tastin'France" event returns to Vietnam for its 14th edition. The event will take place in the presence of the French Ambassador at the Grand Mercure Hotel in Hanoi on Monday 1st April 2024 and in the presence of the French Consul General at the Caravelle Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday 2nd April 2024.
This event is the opportunity for professionals of Vietnam’s alcoholic beverage industry to taste wines and spirits from the most prestigious regions of France, in order to establish business partnerships French companies. This edition, 34 French companies will be present demonstrating the attraction of the Vietnamese market. These participants will represent the regions of Champagne, Burgundy, Loire Valley, Rhône Valley, Languedoc, Bordeaux, and Alsace.
Business France Vietnam is committed to the promotion of French products in Vietnam. This mission is further strengthened by the implementation of the free trade agreement between Vietnam and the European Union, established in 2020, and the increasing consumption trend of imported alcoholic beverages among the middle and affluent classes in Vietnam.
Despite the downturn in wine and spirits imports due to the general economic situation, the sector in Vietnam remains one of the most dynamic in Asia. Wine imports to Vietnam fell by 14.5% in volume between 2022 and 2023, while spirits imports increased by 7%. France remains one of the market leaders in Vietnam in terms of value, thanks to its reputation for quality and prestige.
