In 2004, James Suckling was invited to a blind tasting wine dinner with 10 bottles to sample. The evening turned out to contain many surprises — one of which was how a 1989 Pétrus, a 100-point wine, appeared to be the unanimously voted worst wine.

The "Tastin'France" event returns to Vietnam for its 14th edition. The event will take place in the presence of the French Ambassador at the Grand Mercure Hotel in Hanoi on Monday 1st April 2024 and in the presence of the French Consul General at the Caravelle Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday 2nd April 2024.
