Dine on superfoods while making environmentally sustainable choices
New kid on the block Terra Madre launched the Aussie-brand’s first local outpost at Dempsey Hill just a few months ago in September. Needless to say, the brand has quickly earned itself the reputation of being Singapore’s largest organic and natural food retail store (an extensive range of over 1,000 products spread over 6,000 sq ft will get you there).
Retail Interior
In line with its local organic retailer and wholesaler roots in Melbourne, the store houses the largest range of proteins, superfoods and nutraceuticals, along with pantry essentials, organic beverages, confectionery, baking ingredients, specialty products like truffles, oils, spices, vinegars, and even household items.
Exterior
This is Terra Madre’s first foray into Singapore in its quest to inspire people to eat better and make environmentally sustainable dining choices, as the brand adopts sustainable practices and collaborates directly with local food producers to ensure provenance and top quality ingredients. You do get a good vibe from the dishes, and know that it’s free of nasties.

Customers and diners can also purchase key ingredients used in Terra Madre’s dishes from its clean-eating, Australian-inspired menu such as organic tahini, organic freekeh, lemon oil, organic peanut butter, organic tri-coloured quinoa and more, to inspire guests to explore and create their own healthy, clean-eating plates too. As expected, there is a generous selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu to cater to everyone’s dietary needs, thanks to chef Gayatri Singh who helms the kitchen.

Breakfast and brunch offers a hearty spread of classic favourites such as Smashed avocado with vine leaf verde with spinach, lime, chilli, poached eggs on multigrain sourdough toast; Charred baby carrots & dukkah with tahini and coconut dressing; and Organic spatchcock chicken with peri-peri sauce, coriander and charred lime, to name just a few. For dinner, popular choices include Grilled Tasmanian Lamb Rack with sumac za’atar, vine leaf salsa verde, vine tomatoes, charred onions; Burrata Salad with poached pear, basil oil, mixed seeds and white sourdough; and Spiced Vegetable Fritters with an Asian slaw.

We also quite liked their selection of Superfood Smoothies, such as 50 Shades (dark chocolate, vanilla, banana, pink Himalayan salt, organic dates and choice of unsweetened milk); Deep Greens (avocado, spinach, kale, cashew, organic chia and organic flax seeds); and Ancient Vibes (turmeric, ginger, carrot, orange, banana and coconut water). A glass of any of them and you know you’re off to a fighting start!
