In celebration of the Bulgari Serpenti collection’s 75th anniversary, the Italian luxury house has joined hands with The Langham, Jakarta’s French bistro, ALICE, to curate a marvellous designer afternoon tea.
Brought into this world in the late 40s, the Bulgari Serpenti collection is a masterpiece of timeless elegance, powerfully symbolising female empowerment from generation to generation. In this new collaboration, Bulgari lends its luxurious style to an unforgettable afternoon tea experience, set against the backdrop of ALICE at The Langham, Jakarta.
Already a hot destination for afternoon tea enthusiasts, ALICE has a well-earned reputation for crafting exquisite afternoon tea sets, finessed with a mastery of culinary technique and meticulous attention to detail. Paired with Bulgari, the collaboration is a marriage of first-class quality and design excellence.
Guests are promised a delectable epicurean flight inspired by the serpentine collection, immediately recognisable through the recreation of the Serpenti Forever top handle bag, edible and miniature as a delight for the eyes and the taste buds.
The selection of sweets also comprises gems such as the Serpenti 75, an ensemble of pistachio mousse, apricot jelly and pistachio praline; the Bvlgari Bvlgari, rich with choux, sea salted caramel and vanilla diplomat cream; the luscious temptation of the B.Zerol Rock, which is a chocolate brownie topped with crème brûlée and mousse; and Diva’s Dream, a lemon curd with hazelnut mousse and vanilla whipped ganache.
Balancing sweet with savoury, the Serpenti 75 afternoon tea also features decadent savoury bites to enjoy. Savour their Lobster Gelée, a poached lobster tail served with Macédoine vegetables, a lobster consommé and phyllo pastry. Next is a Beef Bourguignon Vol-au-Vent, with mouthwatering slow-braised beef cheek, caramelised onions, wild mushrooms, warm puff pastry and baby onions. The bountiful selection also includes a Duck Confit & Foie Gras Pie, a Crab Mille-Feuille Sandwich, and a Truffle Cheese Croquette, complemented by The Langham’s original scones.
The enchanting Serpenti 75 afternoon tea may be opulently paired with select specialty drinks, such as the glittering Serpenti’s Sparkle cocktail and the refreshing Bvlgari Bliss mocktail.
