The Langham
Where Boston’s Legacy Finds Its Modern Pulse

In the heart of Boston’s Financial District, The Langham stands as both a monument and a masterpiece, a living chapter of the city’s storied past reimagined for the modern traveler. Once home to the Federal Reserve Bank, the 1922 Renaissance Revival landmark has been meticulously restored into one of Boston’s most elegant addresses, where history and hospitality meet in perfect balance.

Stepping into the grand lobby feels like walking into a dialogue between centuries. Hand-tufted rugs mirror the artistry of vintage currency, bespoke banker’s lamps glow in soft green hues, and an artisan liquid-metal map of Boston anchors the space with quiet grandeur. Every element whispers of the building’s past while embodying the sophistication of contemporary design, a seamless blend of heritage and innovation.

At Grana, the former Grand Hall of the Federal Reserve has transformed into a vibrant dining destination, where marble columns and vaulted ceilings now frame convivial Italian-inspired meals. Above, a striking wire sculpture inspired by the Liberty coin hovers like a symbol of both history and reinvention. The experience is elevated yet intimate where conversation flows as easily as the wine.

Evenings unfold at The Fed, the hotel’s moody cocktail bar inspired by 1920s gentlemen’s clubs. The new “Treasury Collection” cocktail menu journeys through global currencies, offering creations such as the Japanese Yen - a poetic balance of whisky, sakura honey, and sparkling sake and the American Greenback, a bold tribute to bourbon and hops. Artworks by members of The Copley Society line the walls, creating a gallery atmosphere where mixology and artistry intertwine.

Guestrooms and suites continue the narrative with rich textures, tailored upholstery, and curated artworks celebrating Boston’s maritime and literary heritage. The Chairman Suite exudes refined intimacy, where Persian rugs and bespoke paper sculptures transform each corner into a private salon.

At The Langham Club, overlooking Post Office Square, time slows to a gentler rhythm. Guests are welcomed with fine wines, curated bites, and a collection of contemporary art that mirrors Boston’s cultural pulse.

More than a hotel, The Langham is an experience in legacy where the precision of its past becomes the poetry of its present. Here, every stay is a quiet celebration of Boston’s timeless grace, measured in marble, light, and memory.
