The “Tastin’ France” event, back for its 13rd edition, will be held at the Caravelle Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, on April 5.
This event is the opportunity for professionals of Vietnam’s alcoholic beverage industry to taste wines and spirits from the most prestigious regions of France, in order to establish business partnerships with the 34 French companies, a record attendance demonstrating the attraction of the Vietnamese market. These participants will represent the regions of Champagne, Burgundy, Loire Valley, Rhône Valley, Languedoc, Bordeaux, and Alsace.
France and Vietnam are celebrating their 50th diplomatic relations anniversary, and their 10th strategic partnership anniversary: this event is the opportunity to highlight, once again, the diversity of the cooperation between France and Vietnam.
Business France Vietnam is committed to the promotion of French products in Vietnam. This mission is further strengthened by the implementation of the free trade agreement between Vietnam and the European Union, established in 2020, and the increasing consumption trend of imported alcoholic beverages among the middle and affluent classes in Vietnam.
The wines and spirits market in Vietnam is currently one of the most dynamic of Asia. The importations of wines and spirits in Vietnam increased by 78% and 44%, respectively, in terms of volume between 2021 and 2022. France remains the leader in the Vietnamese market in terms of value, thanks to its reputation of quality and the prestige of its productions. In 2022, the exportations of French wine and spirits increased by 73% in terms of value.
