Night Of Virtuosos - A Masterpiece Legacy Of The Dalmore

Renowned for its rich heritage and refined craftsmanship, The Dalmore has become a symbol of luxury and excellence in the whisky industry for over 180 years. With numerous Gold and Silver awards at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC), one of the most prestigious global wine and spirits competitions, the Dalmore 12, Dalmore 15, Dalmore 18, and Dalmore King Alexander III are widely recognized and sought after by whisky enthusiasts around the world.

The world-renowned single malt whisky brand, The Dalmore, has officially launched in Vietnam.

The Status Of The Dalmore Rooted In The History Of Heroes

Alexander Matheson, a Scottish entrepreneur, laid the foundation for one of the first whisky distilleries in 1839. Thirty years later, the distillery was passed on to the Mackenzie family, marking a pivotal period that significantly influenced the brand’s explosive development. The iconic 12-point stag emblem has become a crucial hallmark of The Dalmore, prominently featured in most designs inspired by the ancestral story of the Mackenzie clan.

Originating from the 13th century, when General Colin of Kintail, leader of the Mackenzie clan, risked his life to save King Alexander from a ferocious stag during a hunting trip, this act of bravery was recognized by the king, who bestowed upon the clan the emblem of the 12-point stag, engraved in the family crest, thus becoming an immortal legacy of The Dalmore.

Not only a part of history, the painting "The Fury of the Stag" by artist Benjamin West draws inspiration from this tale and remains the largest work displayed at the National Museum of Scotland to this day.

The Selective Casks Of Superior Quality

For over a century, The Dalmore has continuously refined its recipes, utilizing rare casks from around the globe for whisky maturation, carefully selecting the finest ingredients, and meticulously adhering to a production process that spans over 1,000 years, all committed to quality in creating whiskies with rich and unique flavors.
As the sole brand with the exclusive privilege to access special Oloroso sherry casks from Bodega Gonzalez Byass in Jerez, Spain, The Dalmore has employed these casks, crafted from premium oak, for sherry maturation for many decades before using them for whisky. This meticulous process contributes to the deep and complex flavors characteristic of The Dalmore—an attribute that most other whisky brands find challenging to replicate.

The Heritage Of Distinction

With over 50 years of dedication to the craft of whisky, Richard Paterson, a world-renowned master distiller and blender, is the third generation to carry on the family tradition. With the ability to discern and differentiate complex flavor layers with a single whiff, without tasting, this innate talent has allowed him to create unique whisky expressions.

Paterson’s protégé, Gregg Glass, not only inherits these exquisite values but also has garnered numerous prestigious awards, including the title of "Whisky Creator of the Year" from Icon of Whisky Scotland.

By possessing unique ingredients and techniques, inheriting a traditional historical legacy, and showcasing exceptional whisky talents, The Dalmore achieves its distinctive success through this perfect trifecta.

A Night To Celebrate Masterpieces

The “Night of Virtuosos” event held on September 25th gathered esteemed guests, including whisky experts from Vietnam, the prestigious whisky expert for the Asia region, Dean Rosen, models Kim Ly and Thuan Nguyen, esteemed distribution partners, and prominent journalists.

The event served not only as an occasion to celebrate exceptional whisky creations but also as a platform for networking and sharing valuable stories and experiences in the journey of whisky creation and appreciation. Every moment of the evening was highlighted by exquisite culinary offerings, perfectly paired with each whisky selection, harmonizing with the predominant aromas of orange blossom and soothing music.

Experience The Dalmore

Dalmore 12 YO

In comparison to many other 12-year-old whiskies, Dalmore 12 stands out for its complexity and smoothness—qualities often absent in similarly aged bottles. Matured in two different types of casks—American bourbon and Spanish Oloroso sherry—the aroma of Dalmore 12 is a delicate blend of warm caramel orange, alluring dark chocolate, and creamy vanilla, complemented by subtle spices from cinnamon and nutmeg, resulting in a long, full-bodied, and profound finish.

Dalmore 15 Year Old

Dalmore 15 Year Old is matured in three different types of sherry casks: Matusalem, Apostoles, and Amoroso, creating a rich flavor profile with warm notes of butterscotch and ginger. The finish leaves a sweet hint of vanilla, a touch of spice from ginger and cinnamon, intensifying the pleasure for those who fully savor its essence.

Dalmore 18 Year Old

With an aging process of up to 18 years, Dalmore 18 offers superior depth and richness in aroma compared to its younger counterparts. The complex bouquet of dark chocolate, strawberry jam, and toasted almonds intertwines with hints of black pepper and oak, providing a refreshing and stimulating experience. The finish lingers with notes of cocoa, coffee, and a hint of smoke, allowing the layers to continue to unfold, leaving an enchanting and lingering impression.

Dalmore King Alexander III

Dalmore King Alexander III is a masterpiece created through a meticulous maturation process in seven different types of casks: two types of bourbon, Oloroso sherry, Madeira, Marsala, Port, and Cabernet Sauvignon red wine. The artistry in blending these casks allows the whisky to develop complex flavor layers, from dried fruits and chestnuts to cocoa and oak. This unique and meticulous process makes King Alexander III one of the most sought-after whiskies in the world.
