In step with the current movement in Ho Chi Minh City toward elevating the quality of the dining experience, Le Méridien Saigon Hotel consistently provides diners with a variety of unique opportunities to participate in activities related to the culinary arts.
Chef Phi Công, Executive Chef of Le Méridien Saigon, was just recently introduced as the "captain" leading new culinary experiences at this five-star hotel in the heart of District 1's bustling business district.
Since becoming a member of the core team at Le Méridien Saigon, Chef Phi Công, who has more than 16 years of experience working in leading 5-star hotels, has breathed new life into the menus used throughout the hotel. After the gorgeous and breathtaking lunch experience at BARSON, Chef Phi Công marked the eye-catching changes for the well-known Dinner Buffet and the Sunday Brunch Buffet at Latest Recipe Saigon. Recently, he has been working to continue the launch of a brand new À La Carte menu at this restaurant, along with a party introducing diners to special dishes referred to as the Chef Table Series.
The event was enhanced by the guests' enjoyment, in-depth conversation, and well education about the one-of-a-kind dishes that comprised the Chef's six-course menu, which was paired with three wines from different countries.
"After examining and tasting many high-class cuisines from around the world over the years, I have come to the conclusion that the culinary experience is not always forced by expensive ingredients, complicated cooking methods, or elegant presentation. When diners enjoy a dish because the enjoyment journey appeals to their palates, that is true cuisine. I believe that food is made to please the five senses of taste, smell, sight, touch, and hearing. I strive to cultivate that kind of culinary spirit, and I get even more excited when I arrive at Le Méridien Saigon, where innovation and creative approaches to food enjoyment are given top priority. - shared by Chef Phi Công.
The story of a laid-back Western summer party is skillfully woven throughout the culinary journey, along with familiar feelings from typical and well-known Vietnamese ingredients like rice wine, basil, cinnamon, and chicken. Each dish is chosen to give diners a special culinary journey. The taste of the food is enhanced by the selection of drinks from the Hotel's Beverage Manager, Ms. Ha Ngoc Huyen, Head Sommelier, in harmony with wines from all over the world.
The unique dessert of royal chocolate cake, which combines a playful and original twist from winter truffles and mildly sour yuzu, smoked with sesame wood like a forest in the summer, makes diners eager to capture the moments of smoke floating on the delectable dessert plate.
At this special dinner celebrating the debut of the new menu at Latest Recipe, Assistant Director of Food & Beverage of Le Méridien Saigon, Mr. Steve Braun, was also present. When asked about the hotel's restaurant visions, Steve proudly announced that he and his colleagues at BARSON, Latest Recipe, and other specialized outside catering services will bring guests a new French experience called Art de la table.
Starting in the middle of July, diners at Latest Recipe Saigon, located on the M floor of the Le Méridien Saigon, will be treated to a completely novel dining experience. In addition, a new menu of sophisticated canapés was also introduced for guests booking exclusive events, chic weddings, and outside catering events.
Le Méridien Saigon is planning a number of exciting events and activities that you won't want to miss.
