Dior Gold House has made a dazzling debut in Bangkok’s Ploenchit district, seamlessly blending Parisian elegance with Thailand’s rich cultural heritage. This second global concept store celebrates the Maison’s legacy through immersive design, fine craftsmanship, and artistic collaborations, offering an unparalleled experience of luxury and innovation.
Dior Gold House, an architectural masterpiece and cultural landmark, opened its gilded doors in Bangkok’s prestigious Ploenchit shopping district on December 8. As the second concept store of its kind globally—following its debut in Seoul, South Korea—this extraordinary destination represents a transformative chapter in Dior’s “kingdom of dreams.” Seamlessly blending Parisian haute couture with the richness of Thai heritage, Dior Gold House offers a dynamic space that evolves with the seasons and collections, celebrating both tradition and innovation.
Housed in a spectacular gold-adorned structure inspired by the façade of 30 Avenue Montaigne—the iconic birthplace of Dior in 1946—the store is surrounded by a lush tropical garden. This shimmering oasis pays homage to Dior’s timeless aesthetic while serving as an entry point into a layered world of elegance, craftsmanship, and cultural storytelling. Within its expansive 1,000m2 space, visitors are invited to explore Dior’s artistry in an environment that melds contemporary design with natural materials like bamboo, raffia, and wood, creating a harmonious dialogue between French sophistication and Thai artisanal beauty.
The collections showcased at Dior Gold House span the spectrum of the Maison’s creativity. From Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Ready-to-Wear and Kim Jones’ Menswear to accessories, bags, jewellery, and Dior Maison tableware, every element reflects the brand’s signature refinement. Dior’s iconic symbols—the lucky star, toile de Jouy, and Plan de Paris print—are woven throughout the interiors, underscoring the Maison’s storied heritage in a setting that feels both modern and timeless.
Adding to the immersive experience, Café Dior provides a sensory escape with a menu crafted by three-Michelin-star Chef Mauro Colagreco. Set within a dreamlike space designed by Korakot Aromdee, the café’s enchanting bamboo scenography brings flora and fauna to life, bridging nature and couture. Chef Colagreco’s desserts, inspired by Dior’s legacy, elevate the art of dining to a couture level.
Dior Gold House also serves as a platform for artistic expression, featuring works by nine renowned Thai artists. These installations celebrate traditional craftsmanship while exploring contemporary themes. Highlights include Saran Yen Panya’s tuk-tuk reimagined in rattan and wicker, Wishulada Panthanuvong’s “Unleashed Nature” crafted from industrial waste, and the “Mala” collection by Savin Saima, which reinterprets the Lady Dior bag using woven bamboo to symbolise the beauty of life’s stages. Other remarkable pieces include stools by Boonserm Premthada, inspired by elephant footprints, and Eggarat Wongchari’s “Nirvana D’Oro” chair, adorned with intricate mirror mosaics.
The grand opening event underscored the store’s status as a cultural beacon, attracting luminaries from Bangkok’s high society and beyond. Notable attendees included Dior Global Ambassador and Blackpink member Jisoo, alongside Thailand House Ambassadors Phakphum “Mile” Romsaithong, Nattawin “Apo” Wattanagitiphat, and other celebrated figures such as Kimberley Anne Woltemas, Jirayu “James” Tangsrisuk, and Tontawan “Tu” Tantivejakul.
Dior Gold House is more than a retail space—it is an artistic and cultural hub where French haute couture meets Thai craftsmanship in an extraordinary fusion. From fashion and art to gastronomy and design, this one-of-a-kind concept store is a tribute to Dior’s creative vision and a celebration of Bangkok’s vibrant cultural identity.
