On November 28, 2025, Sofitel Saigon Plaza launched its year-end festive journey with a magnificent Noel Tree Lighting ceremony, marking the commencement of the 2025 festive season under the radiant theme – “A Stellar Christmas”.
Inspired by the Candle Ritual (La Lumière) — a tribute to the elegance of Paris, The City of Lights—and the poetic world of The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince), this year’s Christmas theme at Sofitel Saigon Plaza was curated as a miniature galaxy, where light serves as the principal narrative element. On the backdrop of the lavish Christmas Tree, shimmering Golden Stiff Tulle ribbon gracefully spirals around the trunk, symbolizing the orbit of stars and echoing The Little Prince's familiar scarf.
To inaugurate the season, General Manager Alistair Minty delivered celebratory remarks and shared the theme's significance, emphasizing the importance of sharing and connection. The symbolic tree lighting ceremony, which officially heralded the start of the 2025 Festive Season, was meaningfully executed by Mr. Minty alongside a specially chosen lucky child.
The evening was further enhanced by a memorable performance from artist Julie Thanh Nguyen, who presented three evocative French winter melodies, including Petit Papa Noël, Vive le vent (Jingle Bells), and Champs-Élysées.
Renowned Pastry Chef Robin Moquet then presided over the traditional Logcake cutting ceremony. Featuring unique flavors such as ginger bread, pecan nut and mango, and chocolate vanilla, the cake was a sweet symbol of good fortune and abundance for the festive period.
The event concluded with the joyous and unexpected appearance of Santa Claus at the Boudoir Lounge. His arrival brought delight and laughter, especially from the children, providing a warm and festive punctuation mark for the year-end gathering. Guests were also invited to capture these precious moments with instant photos alongside Santa Claus at the Boudoir Lounge.
