Luxury travel is increasingly defined by meaningful cultural encounters. At Shilla Monogram Danang, the new edition of Meet the Artist, titled ĐẤT VANG, transforms the resort into a living cultural destination where music, contemporary art and Vietnamese heritage converge through an immersive dialogue between tradition and creativity.

Shilla Monogram Danang has long positioned itself as more than a beachfront retreat between Da Nang and Hoi An. Through its ongoing Meet the Artist initiative, the resort continues to cultivate a deeper relationship with Vietnam's cultural landscape, inviting guests to experience local artistry as an integral part of contemporary luxury hospitality.
This year, that vision finds expression in ĐẤT VANG—literally "Resonant Earth"—an immersive collaboration that explores the enduring connection between people, craft and place. Built around the philosophy that culture is the root and humanity is its living energy, the project unfolds through two distinct yet complementary artistic practices.

The first is Đàn Đó, the acclaimed Vietnamese ensemble renowned for creating original musical instruments from bamboo and ceramics. After nearly fifteen years of experimentation, the group has developed an extraordinary soundscape where handcrafted instruments evoke both ancient traditions and contemporary expression, filling the resort with rhythms drawn directly from the earth.

In dialogue with these performances is French contemporary artist Mathilde Granveau. Her ROOTS series reflects years of travel across Europe and Asia, translating the landscapes, textures and cultural identities of Vietnam into geometric compositions defined by quiet restraint and earthy palettes. Rather than documenting a place, her paintings invite contemplation and emotional connection.

Together, these artistic voices reinforce Shilla Monogram Danang's belief that luxury extends beyond exceptional accommodation to include authentic cultural exchange. By offering guests encounters with artists whose practices are deeply rooted in craftsmanship and local narratives, the resort creates experiences that linger long after the journey ends.

ĐẤT VANG takes place on 25 June 2026, with the accompanying exhibition open to the public until 3 July 2026.
