The city of Danang, already renowned as one of Vietnam’s leading tourism destinations, welcomed an event of global significance this morning: HorecFex Vietnam 2025. Officially opened at the Ariyana International Convention Centre, the two-day event (August 26–27) is set to be the country’s largest platform dedicated to the hospitality, restaurant, and catering industry.
With more than 3,500 delegates, 500 leading enterprises, 90 international speakers from 20 countries, and a programme of 55 in-depth sessions, HorecFex Vietnam 2025 is not merely an exhibition – it is a dynamic forum where knowledge, innovation, and collaboration converge. The presence of senior government officials, global experts, industry associations, and investors underscores the event’s growing influence as a premier annual meeting point for Vietnam’s hospitality and tourism sector..

The event’s strategic significance extends well beyond its impressive scale. For Danang, hosting HorecFex strengthens its role as the central hub of tourism and MICE in Vietnam, balancing the leadership of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City while showcasing the city’s modern infrastructure and world-class hospitality network.
Speaking at the opening, Nguyen Duc Quynh, Chairman of HorecFex Vietnam, emphasised the forum’s ambition: “HorecFex enters its second year with the vision of becoming the region’s flagship hospitality and tourism event. This year, we are proud to welcome an unprecedented line-up of global voices – 40% of whom are international experts, and 40% women leaders – reflecting the diversity and inclusivity that drive our industry forward.”

At the ceremony, Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Chairman of Danang People’s Committee, affirmed the city’s advantages:“Danang possesses strong tourism resources, world-class infrastructure, and the largest network of 4-5 star hotels in Vietnam. Yet to realise our full potential, innovation, collaboration, and sustainable strategies are essential. HorecFex 2025 provides the perfect platform to unite government, business, and global expertise to achieve these goals.”
Echoing this, Nguyen Trung Khanh, Chairman of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, highlighted Vietnam’s progress and challenges:“Vietnam’s tourism ranked 59th of 199 countries in the 2024 Travel & Tourism Development Index. While this reflects strong growth, it also calls for greater investment in infrastructure, digital transformation, and sustainable practices. HorecFex Vietnam 2025 offers invaluable insights and solutions to accelerate our competitiveness in the new era.”
Do Thi Hong Xoan, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Hotel Association, added a sharp perspective: “The hospitality industry now faces a new race – one defined by three pillars: comprehensive digitalisation, sustainable development, and a redefinition of guest experiences.
