When Art Becomes An Act Of Giving

Beyond beauty, creativity can carry compassion. On 10 October 2026, Beyond the Frame brings artists, collectors and friends together at The Albion by Kirk Westaway at Hôtel des Arts Saigon – MGallery Collection for an intimate Charity Dinner & Art Auction, where works created with imagination become gestures of generosity in support of Breast Cancer Network Vietnam.

There is something deeply personal about creating art. An artist gives time, emotion, imagination and often a part of themselves to bring something into the world. But perhaps an even more beautiful gesture comes when that creation is offered once again — this time, to help someone in need, to bring hope to those facing the difficult journey of cancer, and to give something back to the country and community that have welcomed, nurtured and inspired their creative lives.

This spirit lies at the heart of Beyond the Frame, an exclusive Charity Dinner & Art Auction presented as part of the Vietnam Creative Awards 2026, taking place on 10 October 2026 at The Albion by Kirk Westaway, Hôtel des Arts Saigon – MGallery Collection, accompanied by an exceptional six-course tasting menu.

Following the Finalist Exhibition Opening Reception on 9 October, the evening will bring together selected artists, collectors, patrons and friends around one table, not simply to admire creativity, but to discover what creativity can give back.

Among the artists participating in this year’s Vietnam Creative Awards are individuals who have generously chosen to contribute their works, designs and creative ideas to the auction. Some have gone even further, offering 100% of the value of their artworks to the charitable cause.

Behind these contributions are artists with beautiful hearts, people who understand that the value of art is measured not only by what hangs on a wall, but by the conversations it begins, the emotions it awakens and, sometimes, the lives it can touch.

Some are emerging voices. Others have spent years developing their practice. They come from different cultures, disciplines and personal journeys. Some were born in Vietnam; others found in Vietnam a second home, a source of inspiration or a place where their creativity was given room to grow. Yet on this evening, they will share something profoundly human: the desire to give back to the community through creativity.

Their contributions will form part of a carefully curated Live & Silent Art Auction, with the evening supporting Breast Cancer Network Vietnam (BCNV) and its meaningful work for people and families affected by breast cancer.

Limited to just 50 guests, Beyond the Frame will unfold at Hôtel des Arts Saigon – MGallery Collection, a luxury boutique hotel where French and Vietnamese elegance, art and contemporary design come together. Perched on the 23rd floor, The Albion by Kirk Westaway offers panoramic views across Saigon and a refined modern European dining experience rooted in the chef’s British heritage.

Against the evening skyline of Ho Chi Minh City, guests will experience a specially curated six-course tasting menu, while art, gastronomy, generosity and conversation come together around one intimate table. Yet beyond the beautiful setting, the purpose remains simple.

Vietnam Creative Awards was created from the belief that creativity deserves a place to be seen, a voice to be heard and a dream to be given wings. Beyond the Frame takes that belief one step further: when being seen becomes an opportunity to see others; when receiving recognition becomes a moment to give; and when an artwork becomes more than an object of beauty.

Perhaps this is where the true power of creativity reveals itself. Art can speak where words cannot. It can connect strangers across cultures and borders. It can carry memory, hope and compassion. And sometimes, placed in generous hands, it can become a small instrument of change. 

On 10 October, every artwork will carry its own story. Every artist will bring a different voice. Every guest will arrive with a different story of their own.

But around one table, we hope those stories will become something greater than themselves. Because beyond every frame is a human story. And beyond art, there can always be an act of giving.
