The event began at the historic Singapore Polo Club, where guests were invited to take part in a refined equestrian experience. More than a gesture of sport, it was a symbolic nod to tradition and the deep cultural ties that Royal Salute has preserved throughout its storied history. The activity set a contemplative and elegant tone, underscoring the brand’s enduring commitment to the values of grace, legacy, and ritual.
As the day transitioned into evening, guests were ushered into the opulent Caroline’s Mansion, a stately event space within the luxurious St. Regis Singapore. There, the atmosphere was transformed into an homage to whisky-making artistry, illuminated by crystal lighting, accompanied by classical music, and enhanced by intricate visual displays. Every detail evoked the spirit of a grand ceremony honouring time-honoured mastery.
The centrepiece of the evening was the official unveiling of the three distinct expressions within the 62 Gun Salute Collection. Each bottle offered its unique flavour profile, yet all paid homage to the meticulous art of blending that defines Royal Salute’s legacy. Among the esteemed guests was Torquhil Campbell, the Duke of Argyll, and global ambassador of the brand. He shared stories from his long-standing relationship with Royal Salute and reflected on the dedication required to craft whiskies of such profound depth and balance — the culmination of over 40 years of blending expertise by Master Blender Sandy Hyslop.
Guests were then treated to a guided tasting, each whisky perfectly paired with haute cuisine in a candlelit setting, accompanied by a live symphony. It was a celebration not just of flavour, but of feeling, an invitation to experience whisky not simply as a beverage, but as a cultural expression of elegance, ritual, and artistry.
The Royal Salute 62 Gun Salute Collection features three refined expressions: The Original Reserve, The American Oak Reserve, and The Peated Reserve. Each brings its own personality to the table, from the opulent sweetness and structure of the Original, to the tropical vibrancy of the American Oak, to the subtle smokiness and depth of the Peated. In Vietnam, The Original Reserve and The American Oak Reserve are now available through select luxury retailers at 56 million VND and 69 million VND respectively, while The Peated Reserve is available exclusively through global travel retail at 84 million VND.
