The Albion by Kirk Westaway
A Gallery of Flavour Above the City

Tran Nguyen

At Hôtel des Arts Saigon, dining unfolds as a carefully composed gallery of flavours, moods and moments. From contemporary British refinement at The Albion to vibrant market-inspired feasts and rooftop rituals, the hotel’s culinary landscape reflects a rare harmony of craftsmanship, culture and timeless elegance.

Dining at Hôtel des Arts Saigon is conceived not as a single destination, but as a journey one that moves fluidly between cultures, atmospheres and rhythms of the day. Set within a hotel that feels like a living art museum, each restaurant and bar contributes a distinct chapter to a broader gastronomic narrative, where taste, design and emotion are given equal weight.

At its centre stands The Albion by Kirk Westaway, perched on the 23rd floor with sweeping views over the city skyline. The first international restaurant by two-MICHELIN-starred Chef Kirk Westaway, The Albion brings a modern British sensibility to Ho Chi Minh City through clarity, restraint and seasonality.

Working closely with Head Chef Christopher Clarke, whose experience spans some of Europe’s most exacting kitchens, the team presents cuisine that is confident yet unforced. Organic produce from Đà Lạt meets carefully selected international ingredients, shaping menus that favour balance over bravado.

Generous sharing platters, pristine seafood, and quietly inventive signatures such as The Albion Tomato or a refined Eton Mess reveal a philosophy rooted in precision and respect for flavour. Beyond The Albion, the hotel’s dining identity continues to unfold. Saigon Kitchen offers a lively contrast, drawing inspiration from Asian street markets through open kitchens, abundant buffets and themed evenings that celebrate both local and international favourites.

It is convivial, energetic and designed for gathering. In a softer register, Café des Beaux Arts channels French elegance and Indochine nostalgia, serving light fare, afternoon tea and quiet moments accompanied by piano notes and curated art. As day turns to evening, the experience ascends to the Social Club Rooftop Bar, where handcrafted cocktails and panoramic views frame the city at sunset, transforming the skyline into part of the ritual itself.

Together, these venues form a cohesive culinary ecosystem distinct in character yet united in intent. It is this breadth, depth and consistency that earned Hôtel des Arts Saigon the title of Best Hotel Dining at the Gourmet Vietnam Awards 2025, recognising dining not as an amenity, but as an essential expression of the hotel’s soul.
