The Hari Hong Kong, a stylish retreat amidst the bustling neighbourhoods of Causeway Bay and Wan Chai, presents their series of culinary offerings to celebrate the festive season this upcoming December. Featuring an array of special menus that is sure to satisfy all palates, guests can delight in Lucciola Restaurant & Bar’s authentic traditional Italian cuisine or in Zoku Restaurant & The Terrace’s innovative yet timeless Japanese fare. Whether for Christmas or New Year’s, The Hari Hong Kong will be nothing short of a jolly good time.
Lucciola Restaurant & Bar: F&B Highlights
Lucciola’s Chef de Cuisine, Francesco Gava, is getting into the festive spirit by unveiling a sumptuous semi-buffet brunch on 24th, 25th December 2022 and 1st January 2023, and a semi-buffet dinner on 24th and 31st December 2022. Guests will start off with a welcome aperitivo at the bar, followed by an array of cold and hot starters for sharing, before proceeding to a choice between 5 mains. Some highlights include the Cold Seafood Platter and La Burrata Pugliese for starters, and the Lobster Chitarra Pasta with Lemon and Basil Sauce, Beef Tagliata and Sea Bass all’Acqua Pazza for mains. Guests can cap off the meal with a mouth-watering selection of desserts from the dessert trolley. Both brunch and dinner options are HKD$1,088 for adults and HKD$588 for kids, while beverage options can be added for HKD$300, including free-flow from the cocktail trolley, prosecco, white and red wine, beer, soft drinks, and juices or HKD$500 to upgrade prosecco to Champagne. Guests wishing to enjoy a lovely Christmas dinner on 25th December 2022 can opt for either the a la carte menu or Lucciola’s Premium Set Dinner menu instead. For HKD$588, the 5-course dinner set includes a welcome hors dóeuvre, a choice of starter, a soup, a choice of main course, a choice of dessert, and finished with coffee or tea. Some must try’s for this Christmas dinner include the Baked Scampi with Amalfi Lemon, Porcini Mushroom Risotto, and 24-Month Parma Ham Pizza.
An exciting themed countdown party will also be thrown at The Lounge, adjacent to Lucciola, to ring in the New Year from 22:00 – late. To help create a convivial atmosphere, The Hari Hong Kong have invited piano prodigy, Arthur Altamirano, and versatile artist, Kara Belle. Arthur Altamirano has had a comprehensive musical career with residencies and performances in well-respected hotels and intendent venues in Hong Kong. Encompassing a large catalogue of music to work with including classical, jazz, swing, blues, and more, there is nothing he can’t play, compose, or rearrange. Meanwhile, Kara Belle’s musical career began at a young age of 7 before turning professional at 17. Similarly to Altamirano, her performance covers a large variety of genres and she can even sing in multiple languages, including English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French. Having worked together for many years, this snazzy duo has developed a camaraderie and chemistry that will surely bring the jazzy upbeat vibes and most certainly keep the night young.
Zoku Restaurant & The Terrace: F&B Highlights
At Zoku, discover the spirit of Japanese craft through a series of delightful culinary creations by the Chef de Cuisine, Edwin Guzman. A brand-new brunch offering and Zoku experience dinner tasting menu will be available both festive weekends on 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 31st December 2022 and 1st, 2nd January 2023. The brunch will start guests off with a range of starters, such as a Sashimi Platter, Zoku Roll, Crab Potato Salad, Shiitake Batayaki and more. For mains, guests may choose one from the options of Spicy Lamb Chop, Kakuni Tsukune Rice, Lobster Soba, Grilled A5 Miyazaki Wagyu, amongst others. To end is a round of desserts including Imported Fruits, Matcha Cake, Coconut Rice Pudding, and more. The brunch packages are HKD$688 for food only, or HKD$988 for 2 hours free-flow and HKD$1288 for 2-hours Champagne free-flow. Meanwhile, the Zoku experience tasting menu is HKD$888 for 6 courses with an additional HKD$398 for 5 cocktails and shochu pairing or HKD$1,188 for 8 courses with an additional HKD$428 for 6 cocktails and shochu pairing. Some highlights include the Katsu Sando (Kagoshima), with crispy pork belly, spring onion and panca chili, the Wagyu A5 (Miyazaki), with charred peppers, yuzu kosho and shiso tempura, and the Zosui (Kumamoto), with Kumamoto rice, lobster, and coriander oil.
Similarly to Lucciola, Zoku will be hosting two dinner sittings to celebrate the start of the new year. The exuberant dinner will include three starters – a Crab and Wagyu Canape, Sashimi Platter, and Grilled King Crab. The main will be a choice between Kin Medai, Wagyu A5 or Lobster Soba and the dessert will be Strawberry & Tofu. The first sitting is HKD$1,288 and the second sitting is HKD$1,488. Guests who wish to join the countdown party in The Lounge may book the first sitting at Zoku then book a table at The Lounge from 22:00 onwards.
Additional F&B and Staycation Delights
Newly joined Restaurant and Bars Manager, Valentina Grilli, is bringing her extensive background in mixology and spirits to The Hari Hong Kong. In addition to revamping the beverage programme at the hotel, she is ready to showcase her skills by crafting a new festive cocktail for each restaurant. Zoku’s cocktail is a Spiced Mulled Sake with sake, strawberry, winter spices, umeshu, and jasmine green tea – our twist on a traditional mulled wine. Lucciola’s cocktail is the Cacao Bitter with Campari, Del Professore vermouth, Cynar, and chocolate salt – a bitter-sweet aperitivo with hints of cacao. Guests can enjoy these exclusive limited-time tipples from 1st – 30th December 2022.
Those staying in Hong Kong can satiate their inner foodie with the “Festive Staycation by The Hari” package from 16th – 30th December 2022. An enhancement of the existing “Staycation by The Hari” package, this festive offering will include a curated gift box inclusive of a customized The Hari liquor flask set, a mini bottle of the signature Negroni, and a box of Italian chocolates on top of HKD$400 dining credit to be used for in-room dining or at either Lucciola or Zoku.
