Flavours Of Indonesia Take Centre Stage In Independence Day Dinner At Intercontinental Bandung Dago Pakar

The state-of-the-art hotel in Bandung promises to hit all the high notes for this August through its dining offer. Commemorating Independence Day, InterContinental Bandung Dago Pakar unveils an enticing collaboration dinner, highlighting the pulsating flavours of Indonesia’s gastronomy.

The hillside hotel gathers three culinary mavens for ‘Grill & Chill: The Flavors of Indonesia’. Chef Made Yaskan, hopping from across the island from the sister hotel InterContinental Bali, celebrity chef Ragil Wibowo and the hotel’s very own executive chef Mahesa Iman Nugraha gear up to serve Indonesian’s specialities, warranting a memorable celebration for diners.

The hotel celebrates Indonesian cuisine as its central theme as a tribute to the thriving dishes of the archipelago. A variety of traditional Javanese, Balinese, Sumatran, and Sulawesi dishes will be served, brought to life by the three chefs’ skilled preparation.

Amassing three accolades under his belt, one of them being the Asian Cuisine Chef of The Year by the 2018 World Gourmet Summit Awards of Excellence, the celebrity chef Ragil Wibowo is one to watch for. Expect a succulent serving of Sulawesi’s favourites such as Ilabulo Udang, Manadonese Daging Tinoransak, and Bebek Rica-Rica.

The next chef to grace the celebration dinner is chef Made Yaskan of InterContinental Bali Resort. Coming all the way from Bali and bringing 28 years of culinary experience to the table, Chef Made is set to captivate diners with traditional Balinese dishes such as Balinese Roast Duck, Minced Fish Satay, Tuna with Raw Sambal and Balinese Chicken Soup with green papaya, to name a few.

The two chefs will join chef Mahesa Iman Nugraha in bringing authentic creations. The executive himself is a seasoned chef whose career has spanned since 1995. With the three exceptional chefs in the kitchen, there are also people’s favourites such as Minangnese Nasi Kapao with Randang Lamak, Gulai Tunjang, and Grilled Chicken on the side, Central Javanese Nasi Gudeg, an array of Satay at the Satay station, and Nasi Bakar. Don’t forget to make room for traditional sweets like Malang Apple Pie and Kopyor Panacotta to end the dinner on a sweet note.

The Independence Day dining offer at InterContinental Bandung Dago Pakar will commence on 16 – 19 August, from 6pm – 10pm at its cherished Damai Restaurant. Enjoy a dinner against the twinkling Bandung city lights with a lovely tune from the live performance, priced at Rp328,078/person.
