The Solar-Powered Superyacht of Your Dreams

The catamaran experience has now reached unprecedented levels of luxury, with the release of German yacht builder Ultimate Catamarans’ Spaceline 88. This pocket-sized superyacht is worthy of all envy, with every corner of space optimised for freedom of movement and comfort.

In collaboration with Italian design firm Luxury Projects, a new series of catamarans have been unveiled, equipped with solar panels on the roof, allowing you to harness the power of the sun as you glide across the sea. Here, luxury and environmental responsibility converge, to produce a superyacht that is ahead of its time.

Constructed entirely from aluminium, the vessel is fully customisable, signalling a departure from the mass-produced composite yachts we have seen before. Fitted with cutting edge electrified hybrid propulsion technology powered by the sun, she sails like a dream.

While the ideal use for this superyacht would be day trips around island-rich regions like the Caribbean, this vessel has a 2,500 nautical mile range, meaning she can venture far and wide. The Spaceline 88 is expected to reach a top speed of 15 knots in full-hybrid mode, carrying the capability to cross oceans independently, thanks to a high bow. By the grace of modern efficient technology, the vessel operates on a significantly lower level of operational and fuel costs compared to other yachts of similar dimensions.

After two years of development, the Spaceline 88 truly offers an experience like no other, as it seamlessly blends grandeur with technology, with a sleek modern aesthetic that feels like the future. Aptly named, the Spaceline redefines space, maximising its 26.7 metre length to reveal 721 square metres of space, breaking away from conventional yacht designs to provide a fully customisable interior that is open and expansive.

Excusing refined opulence, the Spaceline 88 is the epitome of contemporary design, with clean lines, a minimalist aesthetic, and a neutral colour palette to further the feeling of spaciousness. Her generous living spaces, highlighted by the commodious main saloon, offer ample space for socialising, dining and unwinding in pure luxury. This sense of openness is further elevated by tall windows wrapping around the yacht, allowing natural light to imbue the vessel with a warm and inviting ambience.

Fit for a king, the Spaceline 88 can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests and 5 crew, with all four staterooms boasting a minimum of 25 square metres in space as well as a private balcony with breathtaking views to supplement your journey. All rooms are also situated on the main deck, heightening the sense of ease and glamour forgotten by yachts with rooms in the lower deck. In the hulls, the crew are treated to large 11 square metre cabins.

Blending style with functionality, the 220 square-metres of exterior space features a lavish six person jacuzzi and an enclosed sundeck permitting leisure in all weather conditions. On the foredeck, a glorious place in the sun to relax and sunbathe. At the stern, the multi-purpose garage connects to a 28 square-metre swim platform, with direct access to the water by tender.

Her visionary design makes her a coveted symbol of status and luxury, as the Spaceline 88 stands as a testament to the future of yachting, in the perfect stage for an adventure and life long memories.
